For nearly 30 years, Poston & Co. has provided customer service-centered community management services to neighborhood homeowner associations and condominium regimes in Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties.

With a deep history in real estate brokerage and community management, there’s a reason why over 125 community associations trust Poston & Co. for top-tier professional property management, financial management, and administrative management for their community association clients.

Poston & Co.’s story began in 1988 when John Poston founded an independent real estate company serving the greater Charleston area. Over the next several decades, the firm earned a highly respected, professional reputation for offering personalized real estate services to its many clients always with integrity and representing the client’s interest first (you can discover more about our brokerage business here).

 
 

Kaycee and John Poston

With a unique combination of experience in both real estate and association management, John and his wife, Kaycee, began managing community associations in 1991 and began earnestly growing the community management piece of the business in 2001. Since then, Poston & Co. has blossomed into one of the area’s most trusted community management solutions.

In 2021, Poston & Co. elected to spin off the community association management services portion of the company to form Poston Community Management, Inc. This change was in name only, and was made to better differentiate the two distinct businesses and the unique services they provide.

In 2022, the Community Association Institute (CAI) designated Poston Community Management an Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC). The AAMC accreditation recognizes our professionalism and dedication to the highest standards of community association management, and highlights our commitment to providing the unique and diverse services community associations require. Maintaining the AAMC accreditation demands that our staff have the skills, experience, and integrity to help communities succeed. It also reflects that our community managers have advanced training and a demonstrated commitment to the industry.

 
 

Matthew, John, and Kathryn

As Poston Community Management has grown, so has its team of experts. Among them are Zach Simons, our Chief Financial Officer who came aboard in 2012. Matthew Bennett, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, with more than ten years of community association management experience became a partner in the business in 2016. In 2022, Kathryn Reynolds, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, also with more than ten years of community association management experience became a partner in the business.

Our team utilizes all the latest leading-edge technology to help communities run smoothly. We work with CINC Systems to facilitate cloud-based integrated banking, accounting, and association management, and AvidXchange to process accounts payable. And, we work with our banking partner, South State Bank, to offer community owners multiple assessment payment options. At the end of the day, our team delivers the highest quality of service no matter how big or small the task.
