Shannon Powell joined Poston & Co. in February 2023 as on-site manager for The Bristol Condominium POA. She brings nine years of real estate management experience.
Born and reared in Atlanta, Georgia, she spent the first part of her professional career in broadcast television in Atlanta and Augusta. She left news media for marketing which led to her role as New Homes Division Sales Manager at a real estate firm. This is when she first became aware how valuable professional community association management can be to new home communities, their developers, and their homeowners. Shannon later joined an Atlanta-based community management firm managing a portfolio of communities in Augusta, Aiken, and Savannah.
Since relocating to Charleston, Shannon has managed a portfolio of homeowners’ associations throughout the tri-county area. Most recently, Ms. Powell served as the on-site General Manager for an 825-home single-family community in Mount Pleasant. The opportunity to work with different types of associations has provided a varied association management tool-kit. She is a member of the Community Association Institute, holding the Certified Manager of Community Association® (CMCA) designation.
Shannon and, her husband, Hilton, pledge to never leave the low country pluff mud of South Carolina. They are very proud parents of one son, Liam, a firefighter/EMT for the City of North Charleston. They, are, also, “pup-parents” to “Scooter Pot Pie” and “Mr. Bailey Big Dog.”
