Bobby Carrier

A native of Hickory, NC, Bobby is a graduate of Gardner-Webb College where he played baseball and tennis.  He discovered Mt Pleasant by playing in tennis tournaments in the late 80’s at Snee Farm Country Club. He moved to Mt Pleasant in 2000 and still resides in Snee Farm. An accounting major, Bobby spent 11 years in public accounting and manufacturing accounting. He was the Controller of Resort Quest Vacation rentals on Kiawah and part of the company that bought the former Holiday Inn on Folly Beach that was converted into The Tides Hotel.  Soon after the conversion,  Colliers International Commercial Real Estate firm made him their director of property management and 3 years later lured away by CBRE/Carmody where he was director of a team that managed over 4 million sq. ft. of commercial real estate. When the company was sold, he went to manage the famous Dockside Condominiums, Charleston tallest building that consisted of 135 units.

 

Bobby still plays tennis, working out at the gym and spending time on the beach at IOP.  Bobby is also an accomplished photographer and has his work published in Travel -  Leisure Magazine, Post and Courier, Moultrie News, Construction Today, Hickory Daily Record among other newspapers and publications.
